Low carbohydrates food list for Dieting

Carbohydrate is an important nutrient for us; and contrary to what most people, it is very essential for the proper functioning of your body. However, as we say, that, too much of anything is not good; similarly excess carbohydrate intake is not good for health. Carbohydrate is a nutrition, which is the biggest nightmare for any guy, who is engaged in a weight loss program.

As your fitness instructor would tell you to stay away from carbohydrates, you are left to wonder, what to eat, as most of the foods, which are abundant in the market have high carbohydrate content.

The following is a list of low carbohydrate foods, which you can incorporate in your diet, in order to avail the benefits of a low carbohydrate diet:

Green leafy vegetables, like spinach, lettuce and corianders have low carbohydrate content, making them very suitable to be there on your plate. Apart from the low carbohydrate content, they also have high fiber content, along with a dash of major vitamins, which makes them excellent.

Mushroom is another low carbohydrate food, which can be part of your diet chart, if you are trying to lose weight. Along with low protein content, they are rich in many nutrients.

Beef, chicken, eggs and fish are excellent sources of protein; and more than that, they are low on the carbohydrate content. This makes them an excellent option for you, in case you are undergoing a weight loss program.

Green beans can be a very good option for a low carbohydrate diet. Unlike, black or red bean, green beans have a very low carbohydrate
content. In fact green beans have carbohydrate content, as low as one-sixth of that of black or red beans.

Broccoli is another low carbohydrate food, which you can opt for. Apart from being low on carbohydrate, broccoli is exceptionally good
for the heart and has been found to lower the chances of cardiac arrest, high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases.

Green peas can also be a part of your diet plan. Apart from being low on carbohydrate, they are also an excellent source of protein, which makes them good for the metabolism of the body as well.

Tomato is another low carb food that you can opt for. They are also a rich source of vitamin C, which makes them all the more better for us.

Bean sprouts can also be part of your low carbohydrate diet. They are also an excellent source of protein, which makes them exceptionally well for the body metabolism. High fiber grain and most fruits can be part of your diet, if you wish to
have a low carbohydrate diet.

As most people try hard, to go for a low carbohydrate diet, it is necessary to realize, that however hard you might try, carbohydrate, would anyway creep in your diet. Therefore, the best thing to do is to know what you are eating and why.
